Conservative Interviews - 2006-09-29
I've saw about a dozen interviews with conservative MPs yesterday on TV and notice they can't answer a question without remarking on the past Liberal government.
If you filter out all the partisan rhetoric about the past government, you'll notice they never actually answer questions asked. There are several reasons for their obvious attempt to avoid answering questions and none of them are worthy of a government who describes themselves as open and honest.
One, they don't want anyone to know what their plans are.
Two, they don't have any plans.
Three, they don't know what their plans are and are afraid someone will notice.
Four, their leader, Stephen Harper, doesn't want them to tell anyone what their plans are.
Sooner or later the Harper government is going to realise they can't continue to succeed by continually bashing the Liberals. They are going to have to actually do something worthwhile if they want to remain in power.
I know it's not very politically prudent for them to actually answer questions asked of them but it might give them some credibility.
